It was a plague carried by men that killed only women. Its goal was to render men emotionally. Very wierd but enthralling story.
I looked it up after posting reply. It was polio, according to what I found.
Personally, I don't like the concept that male promiscuity leads to females paying the price.
But then again, consequences are not in my realm, but in the Lord's.
