Or maybe a one-term senator (John Cornyn) or a really attractive press secretary (Tony Snow).

Maybe one or the other in 2012...they'll still be young.

Agree. I'm willing to let the process play itself out. My vote won't go to a current Senator, at least in the primaries.

I caught the last minute of Hagel on Stephie's show. It was hilarious! GS asked him about Rush calling him "Senator Betrayus". All the good Senator could say was that he's got a right to express his opinion.

Hagel knows he has as much chance of being the Republican nominee as Biden has of being the Democrat nominee. I guess that makes Hagel smarter than Biden...for now.
