"I myself, if I had a father, a wife or a child who had lived for years only because of artificial means, would pull out [the plug]."

Ping
The Church is not opposed to the removal of ventilators if the person is dying - or dead (brain dead).
Keeping the elderly on a ventilator is not considered necessary treatment.

I just don't trust the reporting on this matter. The reporters went in with an agenda. They lied and profaned the sacrament of confession. I would not believe anything they said.
I'm with you. Their actions are so wrong, no matter what they report they should be ignored and shamed.

"switch off the respirator that kept her father alive"
Not quite the same as injecting an overdose of sedatives or other 'help' to die. The reporter no doubt would have got a VERY different response to that.
"what they report they should be ignored and shamed.:"

Don't let that stop you though. You may not even need a messenger to hear what you wish.
