I watch Neil Cavutos program religiously and Ben has argued many times that he thinks tax cuts are wrong
wrong across the board.
Only time that I have seen Neil get really agitated and down right argumentative with a guest is when the conversation turns to tax cuts and Bens logic against them is voiced.
Ben has softened his protests in recent months and he has started to suggest that tax cuts for the rich is his main point.
His history of tax cut comments are not in line with what is happening in our economy. Although he is a genius, even geniuses have flawed thinking sometimes. ;-)
"I watch Neil Cavutos program religiously"
What channel is that? I've been reading Stein for a number of years, and find it very surprising that he would argue against tax cuts.
"Although he is a genius, even geniuses have flawed thinking sometimes."
Indeed, didn't Einstein abhor war? If I am correct, didn't he vehemently object to his theories being used for war of any sort?
I may be wrong, but I've heard this several times before in my lifetime, and it supports your theory.
Who would argue that Zappa wasn't a musical genius, or Elvis' Colonel a marketing Genius, but that doesn't make them a genius in all realms.
From what I understand, Stein is quite the genius (IQ wise)and in his realm, but his problem is he crosses over to where he doesn't belong.
Maybe I'm wrong, its just a casual observation.
I think his preoccupation with the deficit/debt is what fuels his anti-tax cut rhetoric. I could almost agree with him, as an increase in government borrowing makes tax relief into something more like tax suspense. However, the government loaning money into the private secter should theoretically boost the economy *fingers crossed*. What I'd prefer is a reduction in government spending across the board, but I don't think that's likely under any administration. Particularly big government neo-con.
For someone of Ben's supposed intelligence, to buy into the dem buzz words "tax cuts for the rich", just boggles my mind. It is tax cuts for taxpayers you idiot, and personal perception of income status has absolutely nothing to do with it. Everyone who pays taxes is "rich" in the leftist socilaist scheme of things, and Ben Stein is smart enough to know it or he's on the target list.
