There are a number of articles that popped out in the last 48 hours...from the Canadian National Post...which spell out the vast efforts underway to disprove global warming.

http://www.canada.com/nationalpost/story.html?id=edae9952-3c3e-47ba-913f-7359a5c7f723&k=0

These Russian dudes mentioned in this article...are absolute in the heat trend peaking within 3 years...and their dire forecast spells out a cold blast by 2040...like the mini-freeze of the 1400-1700 period. The change in temperature will be noticeable by 2012.

The side of this that people ought to understand...is that we as a civilization have faced this over and over. IT is not the end of our lives or end of civilization. People change...people move....people adapt. Environmental folks have a natural tendency to blame...and to associate things with gobal business. I would urge them...in the strongest of ways...to learn the art of change. We will all pay more for heat within 40 years and there is no doubt that alternate forms of energy will be helpful in that period as we are going to need mega power in some regions (New England and Canda) to survive out this period. Farmers in the south...just hold up to 2040...and your crops will double up as people rely on you to feed more folks. We can make it during this cold spell...we've done it a thousand times. We don't need to go nuts and start vast programs to halt the global freeze.
