In year, they will put on the first-in-the-South GOP presidential primary.
Impressive. I have no idea what this is supposed to be mean, but I take it this is supposed to be groovy.

It's Romney vs Rudy IF Rudy runs....I'm still not convinced he will....
Romney will beat Rudy by outflanking him on the right.
I hope he runs....it will be a fun campaign to observe.

Hey Bunny -
I notice you skipped the thread where Rudy left the party designation blank when he filed (e.g. didn't list Republican). I even pinged you and PhiKapMom. Any comment on that?

In his few first weeks, Giuliani took in $1.4 million. I am sure Rudy can raise tons of money from his friends on the left and the people on the right that he has manipulated into thinking he is a conservative.

Castro could outflank Rudy on the right.

My father once told me that being Mayor of NYC was a dead end job, that a stint as Mayor of NYC would never lead to higher State or Federal elective office, and historically this has proven to be true. While I don't know the history of former NYC Mayors running for higher office, I do remember that Ed Koch ran for Governor once (or maybe twice) and failed miserably in the primaries.
Rudy ran for the Senate in 2000 and withdrew (due to prostrate cancer and/or perhaps the heat on his personal life was getting a bit too hot). In the intervening years, Rudy could have mounted a run for Governor or even the Senate again this year, but he didn't. Now he's shooting for the big prize, President of the United States!
As much as I admire Rudy for what he accomplished in NYC, it just seems way too much of a jump from former Mayor of NYC to POTUS. I could be wrong, but thats what I think.

As opposed to Bunny and PhiKapMom's unending pro-Rudy spin machine. I can hardly wait to see the childish signs.

Giuliani ain't gonna win in '08. I have no spam to offer, but, if I did, I'd post it. FR can never be an echo chamber. Give and take, hammer and tong, blood and guts. It's all a part of political debate. Politics is a bloody business. Bring plenty of bandages to wrap your wounds, but, don't stifle debate when it comes to the most powerful position in the world-the President of the United States of America. That's a leftist strategy.

There's plenty of childish stuff to go around on both sides.
I'm content to let the primaries run their course. A lot of folks around here seem to live for this stuff.
It's amusing but it means nothing.

I don't consider Rudy leaving the box unchecked as being significant. In fact, I understand Bush did not check it in his first run.
