Politicians are ALREADY taking more from the oil companies US consumers than they Oil Companies make in U.S. profits.

Fixed it. Fuel taxes come directly from the pockets of consumers, for that matter Oil company profits do too. Additionally, if the idiot pols raise the gas tax to reduce consumption, then the Oil companies profits' suffer even more. Dems are retarded.

Fair enough. Exxon Mobil has paid $20 Billion more in U.S. taxes ($60 Billlion) over the past 5 years than its U.S. profits. Granted, some of those taxes were likely excise taxes ultimately passed along to consumers.
