On Thursday, the Family Court judge, staff members of the Youth Welfare Office, and 15 police officers "marched up to the Busekros home, to haul Melissa off to the Child Psychiatry Unit." "This treatment was justified by the psychiatrist's finding, two days previously, that she was supposedly developmentally delayed by one year and that she suffered from school phobia," the Netzwerk said.

And terrorizing her by showing up at her home with 20 or so people and dragging her out of her house is going to cure this phobia? Is the Elian raid part of their child abduction training? Talk about evil.

"The situation in the class played no small part in creating this state of affairs – the high noise levels and cancelled classes prevented her from receiving the educational assistance she needed during school hours,"

Wow. Unbelievable. She is delayed a year because of the above conditions and SHE gets locked up?

These horrible things are done under the guise of being "for the children".

That's what happens when you don't repeal Nazi-era laws.

"I'd like to be sure it's not exaggerated."

Always a good idea when the source is WND

WND or not, you can bet that the NEA (and here the CTA) is applauding any such story.

Not here!

They would have made several trips to the morgue before they got around to taking my kids anywhere!

Is there another source for this?

Not exactly.

It initially looks like a release from a homeschool advocacy group to WND.

It is from an advocacy group. From the article:

The newest German case was reported in a statement delivered to WND by Netzwerk-Bildungsfreiheit (Net-Education Freedom), an organization that works for homeschoolers' rights in Germany even though it is illegal there.

You can go see the search results for "Netzwerk-Bildungsfreiheit" if you want to read more about it.

People like to say things like you did, but when the police are at the door demanding this or that, the desire to grab that shotgun or revolver may be real, but the hand doesn't reach for it.

Why?

Because resistance is futile.

Also, because you know you're on your own. Your neighbors won't back you. No one will. The power of the state is overwhelming. There is no counterforce you can muster against it.

Live free or die? Ha! We're doomed until we're not.
