While I'm not reccomending Romney, I think that this should be taken as a good sign.
Now, the same question needs to be asked of Rudy Guiliani before any evaluation can be made of his candidacy.

If he does win, the conservative base needs to hold him to this promise above and beyond anything else.

Gets Bopp's endorsement, rips Hillary for being Chickenpoop on Iran, and says the right things on judges. So far, so good.

Like it or not, the race is between Rudy or Romney.
You can, of course, vote against them in the GOP primaries in favor of a social conservative who'll inevitably get blown away in the general.
To: garv
On that you and I can agree.

Could be good. I'd feel more comfortable with Scalia and Thomas. Alito and Roberts don't have enough of a track record yet.
To: flashbunny
Good job. These liberal clowns will say anything to get elected.

yeah, that's brilliant.
nominate a rino that is currently shielded by the mainstream media, then have them torn apart in the general election once they're going against a democrat.
The conservative is always going to be ripped. The RINOs are going to be coddled until it's time to rip them, leaving the dunderheads who supported them surprised when their poll numbers tank.
I don't know why people can't see it. Apparently you think the key to winning is to make the party more liberal.

With Hitlery in the running, the GOP must hold the White House any way they can.

Yes they are. But does he mean them? I have my doubts. He governed as a liberal in Mass. Ones actions are a far better way to determine where one stands then ones words.

What about the other candidates, would they also committ to nominating people like Alito and Roberts?
Very important issue.
