WASHINGTON (AP) - Everyone needs a soundtrack - even politicians. The presidential candidates who addressed the Democratic National Committee's winter meeting Friday got to choose their tunes, and it was an eclectic mix that reflected personal favorites and not-so-subtle messages. Some candidates requested two songs, one that blared as they approached the stage and another that played as they left the podium. The selections: _John Edwards: "This Is Our Country" by John Mellencamp. _Sen. Chris Dodd of Connecticut: "Get Ready (Cause Here I Come)" by the Temptations and "Reach Out," also by the Temptations. _Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York: "Right Here, Right Now," by Jesus Jones and "Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" by Bachman-Turner Overdrive. _Rep. Dennis Kucinich of Ohio: "America the Beautiful"
"Tax man" by the Beatles, we are all going to know that one if they win. If Obama runs "Say it Loud - I'm black and I'm Proud (But am I black enough?)" by James Brown.
"Runaway" by Del Shannon
Kerry - "Long Face" (Squeeze) "...what's this long face that keeps hanging around?"
Kucenich - "Burn On" (Randy Newman)
Obama - "Allah is Enough for Me" (Yusuf Islam/Cat Stevens)
Hillary "Devil Inside" (INXS) "Number of the Beast" (Iron Maiden) "Shout at the Devil" (Motley Crue)
"Surrender" - Cheap Trick
After additional research I found some other songs from Frank Zappas repertoires that are appropriate.

And thanks to Joe Biden
Pick me Im Clean
Why not come over?
You'll meet my mother
You'll meet my sister
You'll like my brother
Really you will...
Then she said,
I'm learning English
I can say "thank you"
I think I like you
Do you like my band-aid?
I hope you do...
Oh, oh, oh, oh
I am not busy
I'm free to travel
Where are you going?
Maybe you'll take me
I hope you do...
Oh, oh, she asked me
Do you know Vinnie?
He used to like me
I speak good English
I'm bathing with Peter
Pick me, I'm clean...
Vinnie goes bare-back
Peter goes wet-back
Denny goes way back
Eddie should get back
Pick me I'm clean...
Oh yeah, pick me I'm clean
Oh yeah, check out my band-aid
Oh yeah, pick me I'm clean
Oh yeah, check out my band-aid
Oh yeah, pick me I'm clean
Oh yeah, check out my band-aid
Oh yeah, pick me I'm clean
Oh yeah...
Why not come over?

Democrat candidates picking their theme songs is just soooo high school, so frivolous and silly. I wonder if they have chosen their campaign colors? Hillary should definitely go with pink and pinker, Al Gore Green of course, but very rich John Edwards thinks he should get green by default. Obama wants "red and yellow, black and white", cause he's "so precious in their sight."
Who cares what colors the other candidates prefer. Nobody will notice anyway.
Good to see you, my friend.
