It's hard to say how big he would have been, but I would have bet he would have been huge. Incredible talent. His niece used to work in burger joint that he got his start performing in (there was a stage attached) - met her one time, very nice girl, and they had a little tribute area to Buddy.

Unfortunately, a FReeper mentioned they tore down the place for a Wal-Mart (wouldn't surprise me knowing Lubbock).

Holley recorded in Wichita Falls a couple of times. My first knowledge of him was in the early 1960's a friend had a stack of records and in that stack were several Coral Label records. I had never heard of Coral Records so I began to play them and lo and behold it was Buddy Holley. Hooked on em' ever since.
