I haven't said a thing about it to her. The first day, she said to me, I understand you now. It looks so much like a baby. I asked if she wanted a link to project rachel or wanted me to find out if there were any good counseling resources around, but she said she didn't want it, so I dropped it. I don't blame women who get abortions as much as I do the people promoting abortions. The ones who know what it is but lie to women because it's in their best interests, so they get women to believe it's no big deal and there is no baby. If I was brought up being told abortion is just a medical procedure and there is no baby involved by people I trusted, I might be pro-choice too and pass objections to it off as lunatics trying to control people. The ones who are to blame are the liars, the people profitting off of the suffering and death.

She's surrounded herself with people who are extremely pro-choice. I think that a little later down the line, she'll be disgusted with these people and maybe even angry at them for misleading her. I truly think you're right and one day she will be a big pro-life advocate...I just worry about any damage she'll do to herself and others in between then.

Interestingly enough, though, when the discussion of Crisis Pregnancy Centers having ultrasounds came up, all of her friends were saying it was horrible that they use ultrasounds, but she was very vocal and said every woman should have to see for herself because they're going to see it someday, somewhere, and if it was going to affect them, it was better for them to be affected while they had time to back out instead of after the fact. I think on some level she feels she's been deeply affected in a negative way and wants to keep other women from going through it, but maybe I'm just being hopeful.

No, I think youre right.

While I know her very pro choice stance isnt very encouraging, her other behavior indicates to me that there is hope.

So she did see an ultra sound?

I leaned years ago, more to the pro choice side. I was always told that before 3 months it wasnt a baby, but tissue.

When I became pregnant with my son I had an ultra sound when he was just a "little circle" but there was life.

At 3 months (or maybe a little sooner)he looked alot like a little tadpole, but i could see the outline of his face:)

it made me feel sick inside that some thought this was just tissue:(

I dont even know what they think it is after 3 months now?

how far weve come since the 80s with partial birth abortion (atleast i dont remember it being an issue before then)at some point i wouldnt be suprised to find them advocating euthenasia if AFTER the baby is born it has a defect or not "perfect".

These ppl shes running with think its was horrible to have ultra sounds? they dont like it because it shows them to be FRAUDS. God forbid we should show moms to be the truth.

and i agree these rabid feminists shes running with will, in time become a total turn off. Dont lose hope.
