Dude, like, send Borat packing
Boston Herald ^ | 2-2-07 | Howie Carr

What exactly does a noncitizen have to do to get deported around here?

I guess Peter “Borat” Berdovsky, native of Belarus, won’t answer that because it’s not a hair question. And the Russky Rastaman is now officially a victim - a victim of Chernobyl, as his lawyer/foster father put it in court yesterday, before they went out outside to discuss his hair, which he doesn’t appear to have washed since leaving his native Third World hellhole.

The subcontractor on the moronic Turner Broadcasting terror stunt arrived here as an exchange student, then sought asylum as a political refugee - stop me if you’ve heard this one before.

Borat is a refugee all right - from a “Beavis and Butthead” episode. He’s the full slacker package: Mass. College of Art, a goatee, dreadlocks - a self-described performance artist with his own crappy avant-garde rock band.

Too bad there isn't a charge of General Mopery With Intent To Creep on the books.

What a minute, this is Boston. It's entirely possible there is such a charge on the books.

What is becoming very clear however is that Massachutsets in general and Boston in particular have no shortage of low grade morons both in the Public sector and among the population of 'college students'.

"Why should the people of Boston be mad? Didn't they overwhelmingly vote to pullllll outttttt nowwwwwwwww? Haven't their elected representatives come right out and said they think Bush has lied about the whole terror thingy? They should be mad that the police wasted their time responding at all."

Excellent point! Not stated nearly enough!

So this is the idiot that left a bunch of bomb lookalikes around Boston.

Do you really think a neon sign looks like a bomb? Aren't you asking yourself why only one city of nine that the signs were hung in panicked? The signs weren't intended to create a scare, nor would they in any reasonable person. You are buying the MSM's story hook, line, and sinker.

The folks who dreamed this little 'publicity stunt' up are morons. The ones who they hired to place these devices are morons. They all deserve criminal charges, speedy trials, appropriate prison time, and in a just world a good old fashioned ass whooping.

Should the same happen to people who post wood signs on the side of the road if someone happens to fall into an unreasonable panic when they see it (remembering the Unibomber's MO)? This is a freaking witch hunt.

If those wooden signs obviously contain electronic parts, wires, and batteries and are attached by magnets to steel bridge girders then yes.

Prosecutors defended their actions. Assistant Attorney General John Grossman said bomb squad members who examined the lighted signs immediately detected three components that suggested the contraptions could be bombs. He said the black signs, about the size of a laptop computer, had what appeared to be a duct-tape wrapped package with a wire running into it and a power source, which would be needed to detonate a bomb.

After they hit the first one with the water disrupter, shouldn't they have noticed that there was no explosive?

So you are afraid of wires and batteries huh? I assume you're the one who calls the cops when you see a guy with a Walkman cross a bridge believing him to be a suicide bomber? WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!!!

Great lyrics posted by Ace of Spades on another thread

(To the tune of ’99 red balloons’)

Ninety-nine cops on the scene
Can't believe what they've just seen
There's batteries and wires, too
And no one knows just what to do
They look explosive, clench your fists
They must be from terrorists!
We better blast them to the sky
Cause ninety-nine Mooninites must die

Ninety-nine white vans arrive
All with TV crews inside
Everyone's a news reporter
Everyone's a Chet or Nat
Breathlessly they cause a panic
Are these bombs or just Satanic?
Suddenly the bloggers cry
"Wait a minute, those are Mooninites!"

If they had they may have saved the city $ 750,000 so I not happy they were unable to recognized a cartoon image.

Thank you. Thank you very much.

It's time to accept what is. We are in the era of diplomacy now. The mayor should have sent some town councilmen/women out to talk to these things. I'm sure they would have been familiar with the hand sign the comic figure was displaying.
