I rented an apartment two cities away from Farmers Branch. When I signed up they ran my credit history, asked for referances, wanted to see a copy of my vehicle insurance, want to know where the address of the last three places I lived, wanted a copy of a pay stub, plus references. Of course asking a white male that stuff is okay but verboten of anyone else.

That and you should have moved to East Dallas, where you would pay week by week. ;)

White female legal citizen, same experience.
Many different states experience, my personal financials were crawled through with a fine tooth comb, to rent a modestly decent apartment.
Spotless rental on-time payment history, but sadly, no history of graft.
Application denied-not qualified.
