Why didn't Savage let the kid talk? And what exactly did the kid say? Thought I heard something about "descended from heaven" or other. Perhaps Savage's screener told him (in his ear) that an adult originally called? Hmmm...

That was uncharacteristic of Savage to be mean to a child. I think it was a swerve and his monitor said that an adult had called with a topic, and that he backed out and put the child on, just like Savage said.
I have seen the monitors some talk show hosts use - it lists the lines, callers, towns and topics. If a caller doesn't match with what is on the screen, it throws he host off.
It was run by this other guy, he was cool, I don't remember what happened to him.
I would talk to him via im, but DH was a bit jealous, had to not im with him anymore.

MS, is right on with his comments regarding the decadence of today...I have often thought; today's culture, is a rerun of the 20s
Unless I am misremembering a caller first used the name and Dr. Savage told the caller he intended to adopt the name.
Am I being petty? Probably but Dr. Savage is constantly complaining that people steal from him. He of course is not alone. All national talk show hosts I listen to complain from time to time that people steal their intellectual property. Enough already!
Now on to something serious. He screwed up Henny Youngman's classic one-liner. He correctly described the intent and the wording of the classic joke but his telling the joke was terrible. To date my only two criticisms I've posted have been too few fill-in hosts and that Dr. Savage simply cannot tell a joke.
His spontaneous humor is good but I personally turn off the radio when it's sex-related -- too crass IMO.
Keep giving 'em hell, Michael!

I thought the Demonrats were so embarrassed by our lack of spending on foreign aid and they certainly prove they don't give a rat's A$$ about the communities who have provided a home away from home for our fighting men and women either.
So she wants to take money away from NASA, foreign aid and small towns suffering from base closings so she can fly around for free whenever she wants. Another fine example of San Francisco values. LOL!
