‘Worst Person’: Fox News ‘expert’ on O’Reilly (Is there a Julie Banderas Fan Club?)
MSNBC ^ | 2/1/07 | Keith Olbermann

Posted on 02/01/2007 1:15:11 PM PST by teddyballgame

But the winner, correspondent Julie Banderas of Fox noise channel, appearing on Bill O’Reilly’s yuck fest last night as a guest expert on TV news. This is a woman who two years ago was covering toilets overflowing on the local newscast. She explained, "NBC has lost over two million viewers since Peter Jennings stepped down and then Tom Brokaw, his show has lost about, I don’t know, two million viewers."

Actually Tom retired more than two years ago and the fall off since then has been, at worst, negligible. And Peter Jennings was on ABC, not NBC, and he passed away.

This makes Miss Banderas exactly the kind of expert Bill-O loves. Julie, does the red light mean the camera is on or off? Banderas, Wednesday's Worst Person in the World.

Olbermann will attack any woman that does not have a "unibrow", like he prefers his women to possess.

It's a reference to the old Navy "underway sock". No muss, no fuss, so the story goes.

She sounds nice. And looks good. But anybody who's ever repeated the untrue story that Geraldo Rivera's real name was Jerry Rivers (it wasn't, he was born "Gerald Rivera" and went by "Riviera" briefly when he was young), ought to know that Julie Banderas was known as Julie Bidwell when she started out in television.

Julie Bidwell Banderas has the reputation of being a hard partier. Nice thought...

Thanks for the picture. I've come to the decision that Julie Banderas is better looking than Keith Olbermann. Any relation to Antonio Banderas?

I wonder if Olbermann will ever see the irony in his talking about "worst people"?

The gloves have come off as Fox smokes out the other cable stations as the liberal shrills they are.

I love it when about a week or so ago, FOX, in one of its self-promoting commercials, flashed across the screen in large letters something to the effect of "FOX news channel, the only cable news network without the left-leaning bias is its reporting". (Not exactly in those words, but close.)

No doubt Ms. Banderas could kick Olberman's wimpy rear end if she wanted to, but who wants to pick up some disease from touching him?

Here's the good news for MSNBC:
Jan. #'s: More Prime Demographic Viewers For MSNBC
"MSNBC continued its ratings surge in January, up more than any other cable network in primetime with a +78% increase over January 2006 in the adult 25-54 demographic (254,000 v. 143,000) and a +74% increase in total viewers (615,000 v. 353,000)," the network says.

Raw numbers: In January, Tucker had 10,000 more demo viewers than last January; Hardball added 60,000; Countdown added 133,000 (up 89 percent); Scarborough delivered 126,000 (up 80 percent) and the documentary block added 91,000 at 10pm and 120,000 at 11pm...

But if the truth be told, ALL the Cable News Networks are the minor leagues. O'Reilly's top ranked cable news 2.3 million total viewers is about 1/3rd of Katie Couric's 3rd ranked broadcast news show.
In total viewers NBC has 9,310,000 viewers, ABC has 9,105,000 and CBS garners 7,553,000.
Couric gets in the prime 25-55 demographic what O'Reilly gets in total viewers.
