31 is a little late for schizophrenia to manifest itself, but perhaps this guy had been acting erratic for some time and no one had called him on it.
When I see seemingly normal, smart, young people go off like this, my first thought is schizophrenia. I based this on family and professional experience, as a former practicing attorney with several schizophrenic clients. I hope he gets the help he needs.

"You'd think a law student would be smarter than that," Patel, 21, said. No, Patel, law students are not smarter than that. The real dumb ones go into public service as Democrat congressmen and senators.

Typical, unknowlegable, media type. There is no such creature as a Glock-9. Glock does, however, make several models in 9mm. Wonder if that's what they're referring to.

Paranoid schizophrenia often manifests itself in older subjects. They can seem normal for years, because they tend to not tell anyone what they're thinking - because they're paranoid.
To: Iscool
That's the first thing I think when someone goes berserk and fires 15 rounds through his neighbor's closed door: "maybe he's on to something".

"You'd think a law student would be smarter than that," Patel, 21, said. Well, he is a 31-year-old student.

I agreethat is what this sounds like. It's a scary illness and it must be scarier to the one who is ill, and always having auditory hallucinations and paranoia. Hopefully he can be sucessfully medicated and lead a normal life.

Good ad for the deadbolt mfg. The regular lockset didn't fare as well.
