During the Russo-Afghan war the Russians supposedly dropped small contact bomblets made to look like toys. They were designed to appeal to children.

Wait you mean......oh no, the Russkies are behind the terrorists!!! My stars!! I think we need to immediately require Congress to pass a law to ban any toy that is reminiscent of toy like items Russians used in Afghanistan to be on the safe side

I think you are doing a disservice by telling people that they are stupid for failing to identify a strange device with batteries and loose wires hanging on it, along with an LED display, as a possibly dangerous item.

Awwwwwwww, truth hurts. If you're stupid enough to see a Lite Brite and mistake it for a terrorist threat that's not my fault or the fault of any sensible person....hey wait a minute.....there's a fire alarm in my building at work that has two loose wires hanging out of it. Now that I think about it I've seen wires hanging out of other items out in public (exit signs, red light cameras at intersections, etc.). Oh my God, there's these flashing LED light things at the corners of major intersections in cities. They have a little white person that flashes and then one with a red hand that flashes. Terrorist threat!!! Terrorist threat!!! First thing in the morning I'll report them all!! I'll be a hero!!
