I'll just add my usual response in defense of Rudy. If you lived or worked in NYC in the pre-Rudy and post-Rudy eras, you would vote for him in a NY minute. The guy cleaned up the swamp that was NY City; he's tough as nails and a leader. He's got charisma and heart.

Exactly!

When I was little, my grandmother used to tell me stories about what the 42nd St. area had once been like. I used to think that it could not and would NOT ever be reclaimed. Then came Rudy Giuliani!

I've so far stayed out of the 2008 fray here, but as a New Yorker and a conservative Republican, I can assure you that Rudy will get a TON of the white (and male, particularly if it's vs. Hillary) vote here in the tri-state area, and that is a plus no other GOP candidate offers.

He puts NY & NJ in play. I don't want the Democrat left to get the Presidency, so although Rudy is far from my dream candidate -- and yes, I'd rather see a Duncan Hunter or Newt up there -- I don't want to see Rudy hurt or denigrated at all here. He can win, and might be our only shot.
