"Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...an ALL Catholic ticket might be a problem."

I think Rudy is one of the few that actually considers Rudy a Catholic. Like Kerry and Kennedy, he hardly is a practicing Catholic (three marriages, strong abortion rights supporter).

An evacuation plan for a tall building that had a previous explosion in the underground parking?

Everybody above the ground floor is at risk.

THANKS!

One of my nephews a fireman from Brooklyn just made it out and was blown through windows of an adjacent building, he was OK, but a lot of his company perished, we saw him in the french brothers documentary!

I've so far stayed out of the 2008 fray here, but as a New Yorker and a conservative Republican, I can assure you that Rudy will get a TON of the white (and male, particularly if it's vs. Hillary) vote here in the tri-state area, and that is a plus no other GOP candidate offers.

He puts NY & NJ in play. I don't want the Democrat left to get the Presidency, so although Rudy is far from my dream candidate -- and yes, I'd rather see a Duncan Hunter or Newt up there -- I don't want to see Rudy hurt or denigrated at all here. He can win, and might be our only shot.

"Rudy upheld N.Y. State gun laws; he didn't just go make stuff up."

Yea right....

In June 2000, the Giuliani Administration was "pleased to announce" that they were suing 26 gun manufacturers because the companies were "Deliberately undermining New York City's gun control laws by flooding other markets which have less stringent gun laws with firearms that the manufacturers know are destined to be illegally resold in New York City..."

The mayor's police commissioner, Howard Safir, even proposed a nationwide plan for gun licensing, complete with yearly "safety" inspections.

really, just drop this line of attack. there are plenty of reason you can have to not like Rudy - this isn't one of them.

That's all really terrific! The more I think about a Giuliani/Keating ticket, the more ENTHUSED I get.

I saw the hundreds of trapped workers jumping for their lives from the upper floors because there WAS NO WAY TO ESCAPE.

There was no plan.

An evacuation plan for a tall building that had a previous explosion in the underground parking?

Everybody above the ground floor is at risk.

"I would say evacuation was hugely successful."

Little Sir Francis doesn't know what the hell he's talking about.

Ask those who were there Sir F, they will tell you what happened and how courageous and successful the first responders were.

You know NOTHING about what went on that morning.

I DO.

Well, it wasn't an explosion and much was done to prevent that sort of an event. It was a fire of an intensity that it defeated the protection and the structural integrity of the building. The problem, in the macro, had nothing to do with a poor evacuation plan.

Solely on social issues? Don't know of anyone who would do that.

Like I said it was a very successful evacuation. The numbers who perished below the impact zone were almost nil.

Are you saying the people above impact were savable?

Oh gee.....IF McQueeg really IS the candidate, they are going to have to hold a gun to the head of my grandson, to get me to vote for him. Voting for the Manchurian candidate is beyond just having to hold my nose to vote.

"Cannot come up with one name that I think can beat Hillary"

Oh ye of little faith. Do you really think America wants and would actually elect Hillary Clinton to the presidency?
