"Islington insisted Liam wouldn't settle in a family because they had decided he was gay,' she said. "I said, "So what? Don't gay people have families?" Besides, he was still a child - how could they be sure?' Mrs Cairns believes children in care who genuinely identify as gay can particularly benefit from gay carers, but she mistrusts adults deciding children's sexuality for them.

Oh, okay, so some kids actually benefit from gays raising them, but only kids who "genuinely identify" as gay... on their own, right? Not the ones who have it decided for them. You know, by adults. The ones who might also be "accidentally" giving same children to pedophiles and not just "regular" homosexuals. But gay children can benefit from gay adults. But then again, they're only children, so who knows for sure? On the other hand, as long as they're really truly gay, and they know it themselves, it's fine.

Got it.
