Consider these two gems:

“There was something about him that made me wary,” Obama wrote. “A little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.”

and ...

".... after reading some of Obama’s conclusions about the white race, which he once described as “that ghostly figure that haunted black dreams."

After reading this, it seems that Obama has some pretty disturbing opinions on race (and white people), and it's about time the public were made aware of it. Next time this hypocrite asks for white votes, call him to account for his views.

tragic mulatto

We used to call a friend who is half black a tragic mulatto from the Wall of Voodoo song, Tragic Vaudeville.

Obama observed that when people discover his mixed-race heritage, they make assumptions about “the mixed blood, the divided soul, the ghostly image of the tragic mulatto trapped between two worlds.”

Either he’s meeting a lot of people who still live in the nineteen forties, or he’s trying to gather up some sympathy points.

“There was something about him that made me wary,” Obama wrote. “A little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.”

That jumped out at me too. That's just what we need - a President who hates white people.

But watch academics and Oprah-watchers to latch onto this guy to assuage their guilt over slavery.

Obama wrote that in high school, he and a black friend would sometimes speak disparagingly “about white folks this or white folks that, and I would suddenly remember my mother's smile, and the words that I spoke would seem awkward and false.”

Yeah - you know - the white mother who DIDN'T abandon you at 2 years old and loved you and raised you...

But it does make life so much easier to chose "black" - all those affirmative action programs, minority set asides, the easy excuse if you don't get everything you ever wanted (it was racism..), etc. (HURL)

I don't know, it kind of built up the suspense. ;)

Interesting article, though. Thanks for posting it.

Consider the difference between Obama's whining and Tiger Woods' class.

And Senator Robert Byrd(D-WV) was his basketball coach. I didn't know that.

I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists.

Straight from the horse's mouth.

oen wonders of the stability of one so tortured, afraid to admit the truth about himself - that the white blood he despises so well flows in his own veins...

Obama is not running for President, he's looking for acceptance.

Unfortunately, being Commander-In-Chief is not intended as therapy.

Osama Obama: A racist calling others racist. Perhaps he should seek psychotheraputic help instead of seeking to act out his problems on the nation.

“To win the Democratic nomination, he's got to get a part of the progressive, anti-war, white folks,” she said. “And those white folks tend to be suspicious of any black person who wouldn’t be suspicious of white people.”

Hillary! will soon be divulging her black grandmother, once removed.

He's black. The law says so.

Makes you wonder what would happen if everyone who had one white great-grandparent were declared by law to be white.

Would there be many blacks left who weren't recent immigrants?

I doubt that even half of the material is true. He is probably just writing some nonsense to endear himself to black radicals that he, too, doesn't trust "whitey."

The Marxist professors and structural feminists.

Most of this doesn't bother me because I've met very sincere and lovely mixed race kids who really struggled with their identities. But I don't care if you're blue and from another solar system, if you gravitate toward marxists and "structural feminists," without completely and thoroughly disavowing that choice when you were younger, then you NOT qualified to be President of the United States. You're not qualified by be Senator, either, but I suspect his fellow Illinoians did not know about this portion of his past.

“I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites,” he wrote.

No, you did that because you knew there is power and money in victimhood.

Twice!

Just a bit presumptuous.
