Romney's visit in South Carolina had a not so surprising McCain/Anti-mormon moment.

And here's a better example.
I wish I knew why you keep wasting your time and energy creatively talking against the LDS church. Why don't you concentrate on Islam or something? Not to many Mormons strapping bombs to their chests these days. And for your information, nobody is born a member of the Mormon church. One more thing, why do hateful people always mention "freedom of speach"?
Sorry, I don't know much about BJU.
Bump for the truth!
SPEECH
Someone who doesn't have your back ground and voices a similar opinion isn't neccessarily a bigot either.
Please note - we are not in disagreement.
Why do people who don't like their religion being criticized always throw around the "hate" word?
I do. I live just a few miles from it. 99% of the people who go there are wonderful people. They live a good, clean life.
Hmmm are you calling me hateful? What did I say that was "hateful?"
I concentrate on Mormonism because it is what I know. Have you ever heard the term "Born in the Covenant?" Well, I was Born in the Covenant. That means that my parents were sealed in marriage for eternity, and I was born into that union so I was born into the eternal sealing of their marriage?
Have you ever heard of a Father's Blessing? This is performed by a priesthood holder upon a child when they are aproximately 1 month old. Their names are officially given and entered into the Church records. Are you disputing this truth? If so, then my point is proven.
BTW my "Blessing" was conferred upon me by my Father who was a Bishop. I was baptized and confirmed when I was eight years old. I was Temple married. I have since discovered many truths that the LDS do not teach openly, I have found distortions.
Why is talking openly about these things perceived as hate?
If there were a Muslim running for President, I'd have to do some hard digging to make sure this person never had anything to do with any radical wing of Islam before I'd even consider anything he had to say on issues. I'd also not consider a satanist (I mean the kind that actually worships satan) no matter what. Other than those two instances, I'd have to concur.
The Anti-Mormon sniping is not all coming from the McCain camp. It's from diverse sources.
Interesting reading your post. My son converted to LDS, married a lovely girl, kids are great, but I do hate what I see as 'brainwashing' from the time kids are small.
Oh well I guess it could be worse.
Something about ANY religion that tells me what to eat, drink and wear - I have a problem with that. I would not be a good Mormon, but I must say the ones I have met are also fine people.
Anyway, it was interesting reading your post -
Meaning what exactly? And who are you classifying as 'right wing Conservatives'?
Makes sense, but who is to say what's absurd?
I've learned enough about islam to know that you can never trust what a muslim says when he's dealing with non-muslims. I'd never vote for a muslim. Period. Ever.
OK, thanks
Many Mormons are very fine people. They are generally politically conservative, self-sufficient, and Proud Americans. They donate more of their money to their Church than most, They have fewer unwed pregnancies and have fewer abortions.
There is indication that they are much the same as everybody else when it comes to drug addiction, suicide, divorce, white collar crimes, etc.
Have have nothing against mormon people.....I are one. :D
Distortions huh? It is called losing your faith and only you have you to blame for it. I am sorry you are not a happy person.
I am very happy. I am now a Christian...and I have plenty of faith.
Distortions. That's what I said.
