But he didn't say, "Macaca" so he's off the hook...

There is a hue and cry HERE for a resignation, but why aren't the Republicans in Congress holding press-conferences? The man SHOULD RESIGN, at least his leadership position. Trent Lott was forced into it, only because the (D)'s got together, very loudly misquoted Lott over and over until it hit the mainstream media, including Leno, Letterman, and the other one, and then the public began to believe that Trent Lott had suggested that all black men in America should be hanging from a tree! Why can't WE do that?

Let's see if this sticks.

Sticks?

STICKS??

In today's See-no-Evil-if-its-a-Democrat world, Joe Biden's insult against all blacks wont even get within miles of the illustrious Senator, much less "stick" to his persona.

Wake up and smell the slanted media, my friend.

'Clean = Not on the take?'

That's a good point...
Maybe Joe was just impressed
that a candidate for president has not
been shown to be a crook...Yet...
And I mean as of [8:33:37 est Wed. January 31, 2007]

Just noting the time because these things can change quick ;<)

Joe is forgetting about the prominent black Republicans, all of whom are respectable, but he's right about the dems.

Biden is awful. "clean black"? Is he suggesting that other African Americans eligible for president are somehow "dirty b###ks"... I won't even type it because it is insulting. What a Son of a Bitch to say such a thing. I absolutely hate liberal mentality. And you know liberals are lining up to protect this dickweed. Bunch of hypocritical sell out. Sell out the country, sell out decency, sell out their own convictions. Is there any wonder why liberal are so despised?

So, does this mean that when debating Obama that logic can be used, or is the use of logic still a racist tactic?

My favorite part was when he said that Obama's run was one small step for a black man and one giant leap for black mankind.

We can say it all we want, but until the Republican leadership stands up and "says it loud," there will be NO pressure on the media to report it. The RNC.org website doesn't even call for Biden's resignation. This will be swept under the rug.

She held her own against Spencer.

To which, again, I'll say: WHO?? Another nobody. Granted, he was a better-versed nobody than Lazio. But it was a meaningless debate for the press not for the masses. The other folks she's going to go toe-to-toe with have been around the block a little more. And she has to keep this up for the next 12-16 months, not for a short 12-week campaign. Over the years I have seen the pundits and some FReepers opine that Hillary would not run for the Senate in NY, that she couldn't win, and that she wouldn't run for President. Now many are saying she can't win the Dem nomination and can't be elected President.

And none of those describe me. She can win both. But it aint no lock. And right now, I'm not entirely certain that she's going to get it.

And Edwards is not running for VP. He's already done that. He'd be a fool to take the slot again and Hillary would be a bigger fool to nominate him. The other Dems aren't going to roll over for her. It's going to be a bumpy ride.

And who might those folks be that she will go toe-to-toe with? Biden, Edwards, Obama, Kucinich, Richardson? These are midgets who she will dispose of without working up a sweat.

She can win both. But it aint no lock. And right now, I'm not entirely certain that she's going to get it.

She is a lock for the Dem nomination and will have to be considered the favorite going into the Presidential campaign.

And Edwards is not running for VP. He's already done that. He'd be a fool to take the slot again and Hillary would be a bigger fool to nominate him. The other Dems aren't going to roll over for her. It's going to be a bumpy ride.

You are right. Edwards is jousting at windmills and will be brushed aside easily. It is not a matter of rolling over for her, they just can't compete. Even Kerry recoginizes the futility of going against her.

One in every three Dem voters is either black or Hispanic. The DNC must have, at the very least, a black running for President just to keep their most loyal constituency engaged. Obama fits the bill and was probably ecouraged to run by the DNC. Richardson is a bonus and probably stands the best chance of being Hillary's VP. Hillary will be assessing all of her opponents to see who makes the grade. She may elect to have General Clark on the ticket to burnish her national security credentials.

It is clear sailing for Hillary except if Gore enters the race. With the first Dem presidential debate taking place in April in South Carolina, just three months from now, the race seems set. The first Rep Presidential debate takes place in May in South Carolina so the Rep field is pretty much set as well.

It was a joke ...he screwed it up

Very likely, in 24-48 hours we will be told it was merely Joe's quirky sense of humor. No harm done. At worst just a poor delivery.

Are Conservatives in a leadership position demanding Biden's resignation? I haven't seen any organized effort. We're wimps.

Shortest Presidential campaign in history!

Or the longest, depending on how you look at it. The guy's been running for president (futilely) since before Robert Byrd was born -- or so it seems. ;-)

Another telling racial slur is Biden calling him..'clean'!! WTH is that suppose to mean?

Just what it sounds like would be the simplest explanation to me; that he looks down upon black people to the extent that he believes them to be basically dirty people. Add this to the fact that he was comfortable thinking he was amongst like minded folk in S.C. when he bragged about his home state's slavery past and you begin to see the real ugliness of Joe Biden.

There's nothing funny about this. While it is an idiot democrat, there's never anything funny about one person dehumanizing another.

"There's nothing funny about this. While it is an idiot democrat, there's never anything funny about one person dehumanizing another."

Hey man..you don't need to preach to the choir here! My mother was a white republican civil rights worker in the south when the Robert Byrds of the world were running the politics down here...before there was even a republican party in the SOUTH!!

So get off your high horse! My family actually paid a price back then for standing up to bigotry and rascism at a time that is was truly deadly to do so!!

My late father(a navy officer) taught me to shoot his Beretta when my mom went off to join the 'civil rights' movement!
Not because he was afraid of the Black Panthers..mind you...He was more afraid of the 'Sheets Byrds' of the world!!

Oh..the stories I could tell you....
