There is absolutely no comparison between the nazis and the Japanese with regard to how they treated American soldiers as prisoners. The SS executed 80-90 Americans during the Bulge. That is the only incident I am aware of, although there had to have been others.

This in no way compares to the atrocities which happened in the Philippines with our surrendered solders. There can be no "Hogan's Hero's" in Japan because it didn't happen. This is why so many of us are P.O.ed about Heston's latest movie "Letters from Iwo Jima." Heston should produce the letter showing a Japanese soldier giving up his last dose morphine to a dying American soldier to ease his pain. What utter b.s.

The nazi's treated all Jews and all Russians as subhumans. The Japanese treated all people who were non-Japanese as a subhuman.
