Why can't people understand that there are real threats to us and our way of life IN OUR OWN COUNTRY???
Heard part of Howard Zinn on the radio today (I'm in Houston). He was saying the Islamic terrorist threat is overstated as was the Communist threat.
I suspect that those who deny the threats side with the enemies of America. Mr. Zinn wrongly said that Communism did not pose a threat to the US (it is the core of the anti-war protests today and KGB files show that they were trying to influence American policy). He says that the US posed a greater nuclear threat than the Soviets (except that the Soviets were a finger away from launching a Mutally Assured Destruction attack in the 1980s (from a faulty sensor reading).
America IS the land of denial; for too many Americans.
