Re your post #35. It looks like you are claiming that all Evangelical Churches have "chips on their shoulders". Is that correct?
I'm an Evangelical myself - so my critique must be read in that light. But a lot of Evangelical churches speak with a confrontational swagger a lot like this churches. You basically have to go either theologically liberal or post-modern Emergent to find a church that doesn't proclaim themselves to be "unashamed" or "unapologetic."
