I can't tell you how many arguments I've had with liberals, where they finally break down and tell me that they are enlightened (I hear this allot), or that they are more intelligent, or that I need to go to school and learn to be enlightened like them.

Because the MSM is made up primarily of liberals who like to see themselves portrayed in this manner. Certainly the members of the press aren't going to portray themselves as dullards.
