Ted Turner, the atheist, is a bigger nut if he divorced Fonda because she's a Christian.

Don't mind BTS. He's just upset because Serena cleaned his girl's clock Sharapova over the weekend.

Ahhh, I was racking my brain, wondering why he would take offense to me "insulting" a horse. Besides, if there's anyone to pray for, it's our brave men and women in harm's way. To hell with millionaires and horses!

Jeez, lighten up, sea. Learn from Savage and stop being so overly seeeeeeensitive. Barbaro wasn't a pet to the family who owned him.

Hey buddy, I just personally heard Michael talking on the radio, making light of this horse's injuries, and making fun of the female owner's speech and the motives for putting the horse down.

I am totally disgusted in Michael Savage. I fully expect that this is the last night I will ever be posting to a Savage thread. He showed his truest, classless colors tonight.

He had said that he was in a real bad mood, feeling very cynical all day, but that is no excuse for the way he was way over the line tonight. If I saw him now I would shove his sorry *ss up against a wall and call him out for his remarks.

I have closely followed the ups and downs of Barbaro ever since the initial injury. There are many excellent and caring people here at FR who have followed Barbaro's medical care very, very closely on dozens of threads over the months. Many of those people are horse experts and medical experts or both. They well know the nature of all the problems that Barbaro has had in trying to heal. It has been a gut wrenching number of months wathching these great medical people trying to save this strong willed horse.

Savage was totally ignorant tonight when he was making light of the horse's injuries, his stud possibilities, and the insurance question. If these owners were only interested in the insurance they would not have gone through all this dedicated care over these many months. To question motives here is just pathetic!

I don't want to go any further on this. Suffice it to say that Michael Savage showed himself to be an ignorant, uncouth pig tonight. He has a major problem, but we knew that already didn't we?

And I don't want to have a damn thing to do with him or these threads again, unless he gets educated on this story quickly, and then comes back on the radio in the next days and apologizes profusely!

And if you want to disagree about this, I suggest you read up on the history of all of Barbaro's problems since the race when he was injured. Take it easy.

Savage needs help. And he says he is an animal lover.

Pathetic!

****

To all you lovers of Barbaro, I apologize to you, in your deep sadness today, if you didn't want to see this post of mine. But since we have all gone through this together for months on end, I just wanted you to see how one person in the media is cynically treating the deeply sad story of Barbaro today.

Love and prayers for Barbaro and to all who care and cared for him.

Hello BTS

Hi.

See # 105.

Did you hear Michael talk about Barbaro and his owners this evening? If so, what did you think of that?

I lvoed the montage of Hanoi Jane from teh 60s and 70s and Jihad Jane from Saturday. Unless she used the word Vietnam or the word Iraq, you'd have a heard time telling which was which. Only Michael Savage would do that.

And I loved "She's gone from pushing IUDs to pushing IEDs."

Real foolish.

See # 105 to understand about Barbaro.

****

By the way, I did not care one bit that Sharapova got beat. I say good. The better player won, that is all I want in any match. Maria is not a "closer". She may never be.

I really don't care.

And, I wish the officials of the tennis game would give her six months or maybe a year to quit making those screeching noises on the court. They are not needed and they can be a major distraction to the opponent.

It's amazing that everyone in the game could play tennis for well over a century without making a sound when hitting the ball.

Then the age of the self-centered/ egoism came along and now many player are grunting, groaning, screeching, and bellowing.

Gross.

Could I ask you some questions?

What should be done with the border? Should we leave it as it is? Should we build a wall? Should we put stop-light cameras along it?

Should we deport illegals? Should we cut off medical aid (except for EMERGENCY care)? Should we amend the Constitution to prohibit the anchor baby phenomenon?

Sounds like the man was a pig. Sorry you had to hear it--saw a couple of comments (removed pretty quickly by the moderators) here on FR that were upsetting, too. Barbaro, God rest his soul, showed more class and courage than a lot of "humans."

I was wondering why anyone would ping me to a Michael Savage thread. I admired Barbaro because the horse had courage and resolve. Even a cursory glance could tell anyone that the people were not making business decisions about this horse. They were trying to save it as long as they could do so without causing it to live in pain.

Hello, Infidels! Only caught a portion of the show tonight.

Heard something about "the rules of engagement" and a newspaper that it was published in.

Anyone recall which newspaper that would be? I don't see it on Savage dot com.

Thanks!

Well well join the club BTS. Savage is an equal opportunity offender but you already knew that didn't you, so now you're offended by something Savage says, my my so what took you so long?

I've followed your posts so this isn't the first time you've been offended about something. But a horse? PU-LEAZE! There's a whole lot more to get offended about than details about the death of a horse.

I heard Savage's take on this horse and I've never heard of this horse and didn't really care what he said in respect to it. If Savage is wrong about it so be it but this is just a horse we're talking about. A HORSE!!!!!!

It's obvious that for all of Dr. Savage's education about human nutrition and anatomy, he doesn't have a clue about horses.

Horses circulatory system is very different than ours. The movement of their legs actually helps push blood back to the heart. If they can't use their leg it causes real problems with their circulation which is probably why he ended up a a severe case of laminitis in the left hind hoof (the uninjured leg). The laminitis itself was life threatening. They ended up having to remove 80 percent of Barbaro's left rear hoof because of it.

Barbaro had a shattered right leg, his left hoof was nearly amputated after wards. Later they removed even more of his left hind foot. Then he got the abscess in the right foot.

I mean, when it comes down to it, they don't make wheelchairs for horses. His cardiovascular health would never improve because he really couldn't walk well in this condition. I mean, would you or I?! Dr. Savage really put his foot in his mouth on this one and if he had just done about 10 minutes of research on the Internet to brush up on the facts, he wouldn't have been saying the mean things he was saying about the vets and the owners who have been managing this case all this time.
