Are you talking about the fringe? The folks who never vote GOP, but claim they're the base?

You might say, as others have, that Giuliani does not support Gay Marriage. It is obvious that he does because, among other things, he vocally opposed the Marriage AmendmentThere were a lot of folks here on FR who opposed the Marriage Amendment as well, not because they favor gay marriage, but because they do not believe such a question should be federalized and placed into the U.S. Constitution. Are you accusing all those Freepers who opposed the Marriage Amendment for that reason as being pro-gay marriage? And this issue, as well, as others (gun control, abortion, as two examples) Giuliani does not believe should be federal issues, but determined by the states....a solid conservative perspective.

Wow with that tagline you must be really lonely out there! But go for it! You never know, with all the infighting we might knock off all the other candidates, just keep a low profile, LOL!

Posting this unsourced, undocumented crap over and over again just takes up space and turns people off.
Why don't you just post an "Elect Hillary" and "Bring back Bill" thread directly? Is this what you want back in the White House?"

I swear Spiff, you must have forgotten to answer my question: how do you feel you are doing so far in saving the country and preventing abortion nation-wide?

Eisenhower, won in a landslide despite far right extremist unpragmatic Republicans not supporting him in the primaries ..very passionate GOP, but inaccurate
The Republicans of 1952 were very very different in ideology. The old GOP would be more familiar with the paleo-cons who hang out here.
Since Goldwater and later Reagan the GOP has a completely different base...

They love to post 10 year old quotes. You mean 10-15 year old quotes. Like true reactionaries, they are still living in 1991.

Last Night the CW's had Giuliani and Eliot Spitzer arm and arm at Stonewall battling it out with the NYC Cops over homosexual rights..
The problem wtiht the story is Eliot Spitzer was 9 years old in 1969.

You guys won't aknowledge the truth: Rudy is a conservative on fiscal, domestic, and foreign policy issues and is a states righter on social issues and is the most electable Republican and our best chance of beating Hillary.

One has every right to be suspicious of a table proporting to represent Giuliani's positions on issues put together by someone who opposes Giuliani's likely candidacy, when that table provides no footnotes or references to sources. It smacks of the worst of demogogic politics. The table is true. But let's put that aside for a moment.
What would you do if I proved to you that each and every item in that table was true? What if we agreed to disagree on 1 or maybe 2 items. Would it change YOUR mind? No. You'd find some other reason to excuse Giuliani's liberal, anti-platform views or to rationalize why Rudy has to be elected anyway.
If you really had an open mind and would accept the consequences of discovering Giuliani's opposition to the Party Platform on nearly every issue, then you'd do your own homework and discover what I discovered and spent the time to make a table to demonstrate. But that's not what you'll do. You just want to pretend that it can't be true so that you can ignore it. But all the wishing in the world won't change the reality of Giuliani's anti-Republican views, statements, positions, and record as Mayor.
