In Iowa, Candidate Clinton Takes a New Tack, and Talks

DAVENPORT, Iowa, Jan. 28 Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton was in a Cedar Rapids living room crammed with Iowa voters on Saturday night when a voice from the back asked why the Clintons were such polarizing figures in American politics. The room grew still, except for the crackle of the fireplace.

I could give you a flip answer that, you know, some people are going to like me, and some people are not, Mrs. Clinton said, smiling and sipping from a cup of water. But I think its bigger and deeper than that.

For the next few minutes, Mrs. Clinton spoke about why she thought she incited such strong emotions because she was part of an unconventional, high-profile couple, standing my ground on controversial issues and how she could overcome them in a presidential race.

I was part of a political couple that was very much committed to progressive political policies, she said. In a perverse form of flattery, people who opposed us took us seriously and decided that it was important to go after us, and I understand that and I accept that.

Hillary has a stock answer for every question. That answer has been polled, focus grouped, and refined. This will not, IMHO, be able to work for 2 years of questions.
Nagourney is the top political reporter at the NYT. We can be sure that no objective coverage of this woman will be given by the MSM.

In a perverse form of flattery, people who opposed us took us seriously and decided that it was important to go after us, and I understand that and I accept that. Most of the opposition to you, Mrs. Clinton, has little to do with your "progressive" position on issues. It has to do with your psychotic lust for power, your willingness to walk over people and even break laws to get what you want, and the systemic corruption and lack of character you and your reputed husband displayed when you were in the White House in the '90s.

But you will cast your vote for Hillary unless Duncan Hunter is the Republican nominee?

Which means of course that his face is buried deep in Hillary's backside....

This will not, IMHO, be able to work for 2 years of questions. Hillary has gone through two Senate campaigns and six years in the Senate without facing impromptu questioning. As long as the MSM covers her, she feels she can get away with it.

******I was part of a political couple that was very much committed to progressive political policies,
Sokme would call them Socialist policies. Other might say what is Progressive about doing nothing for the countries security while passing off all the Problems to the next President.
Stealing White House furniture on the way out the door, selling pardons, getting head jobs, all very progressive.
Is Appeasement really a progressive policy. How about Cut and Run?

The fawning NY media will never challenge Shrillary, nor with the rest of RAT media. They ask her a tough question they're out. Hillary does not hold up well in direct questioning.

such as: Ms. Clinton, you have a lengthy history of forgetfulness and and prevarication. Why should we trust you now?

See how long before armed agents show up at your house demanding an IRS audit and slap a fence and a padlock on everything you own. About 2.2 milliseconds.

She thinks she hit home runs all weekend. Ha! We know she bombed. Anyone listening to Rush today heard her Iowa screech totally contradict her Iraq speech to Code Pink-o.

She's flying high right now, feeling her oats...thinking she'll just continue to skate along like always. It's a good thing this overconfidence. This train will wreck and the chickens will come home to roost.

Well, they will certainly never ask her who Chelsea's real father is, or about the real story behind Vince Foster's death, or about Filegate and Travelgate and the cattle futures, or whether she was involved in the decision to attack the compound at Waco.

Arkancide would be the death of her politically if it ever got out to everyone-Maybe the right people just don't know about it.

Just like she is standing her ground on the going to war vote.

This beotch is a liar. In two years the top rung for her will smell like rotting fish.
