Never mind that former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani is biding his time on "officially" joining the 2008 presidential throng, a number of prominent Houstonians are moving ahead with fundraising efforts on his behalf.
The unannounced Republican candidate, a partner in Houston's Bracewell & Giuliani law firm, steps out at a $2,100 per person cocktail reception at the Houstonian Thursday night. And for those who reach very deep into their pockets $30,000 deep a private dinner with Giuliani will follow. This will be the first major dining for dollars event for Giuliani outside of New York.
Among those already committing in a big way to Giuliani are Bracewell & Giuliani managing partner Pat Oxford, national chairman of Giuliani's presidential exploratory committee, and private investor Jim Lee, who serves as Texas finance vice chair.
Expected among the crowd of more than 200 supporters are Debra and Mark Grierson, Titus Harris III, Diane and John Connally III and Sugar Land Mayor David Wallace.
High-profile Texans taking on major roles with the Giuliani campaign include oilman Boone Pickens, who serves as finance chair for the Southwest, and Texas Rangers baseball team owner Tom Hicks, state finance chair.
I used a questioning style to make the person think about the differences between the two and why Rudy can make a President and leader.
Just Google some of the names - Bernie Kerik, Fran Reiter, Russell Harding, Raymond Harding. That's what I did.
The "fiscal conservatism" portion came from Reagan Man who got it from the Manhattan Institute website.
Supporting Rudy means beating the Cut and Run Democrats...supporting a weak candidates assures a Democrat victory in 2008 and betrays our troops.

"In 2000, the highest numbers of reported legal induced abortions occurred in New York City (94,466), Florida (88,563), and Texas (76,121); the fewest occurred in Idaho (801), South Dakota (878), and North Dakota (1,341)"
That was just in 2000. How many years was Giuliani the Mayor?
As a matter of courtesy, please post a source when you post a quote.
Sure, compared to Dinkins and Koch, Giuliani did a great job in NYC. So maybe he should run for Mayor of NYC again.
More? Here are clients and some more info:

It certainly isn't Rudy, that's for sure.
They were here; they were just disgruntled self annointed Libertarians pretending to be conservative Republicans, or sillier yet, conservative Libertarians.
That said, watch out for the Giuliani-Kerik LLC link.
Rudy has certainly brought out the freeper bullies. I have avoided the Rudy threads for several weeks because I've been called all sorts of names or simply had my posts ignored because I talked about his genuine accomplishments rather than post photos of him dressed like Liza Minnelli.

Who do you recommend to beat the Hillary/Obama crowd that we can get behind?
To me the war is THE issue of 2008. Losing it is not an option.
Again, who other than Gingrich or Rudy can beat Hillary et al?
According to The London Times, New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani gives kisses before he leaves every morning, but to neither his estranged wife, nor his girlfriend. Instead, says The Times, Sir Rudy gives a peck on the cheek to the two homosexual men hes living with.
We always get a little kiss, its cute, says wealthy car dealer Howard Koeppel, with whom Giuliani has been sharing an apartment since June. When Giuliani was recently knighted, Koeppel tells The Times that he told Sir Rudy to call him Queen Howard. Koeppel (63) and his homosexual lover Mark Hsiao (41) have been comforting Giuliani, and trying to make him laugh, in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks.
On the way to a recent fundraising dinner for the pro-homosexual state lobby group, The Empire State Pride Agenda (ESPA), Koeppel ribbed Giuliani by saying that if the ESPA was able to raise $100,000 donation for the homosexual victims of the September 11 attacks, Giuliani should agree to appear on Showtimes controversial Queer as Folk dressed in drag. Surprisingly, Giuliani agreed.
Marty Algaze of Gay Mens Health Crisis once summed up Queer as Folk a show that touts graphic sexual activity as one of its biggest draws as one that would shock a lot of people. Showtimes Queer as Folk was inspired by the original series in Britain, which featured a storyline in which a 29-year-old man has a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy.
The propensity to shock people is not new to Giuliani, who likes to dress in womens clothes as a stage act, and even did so once at a Pride Agenda fund-raiser.
According to the Times, Giuliani has attended every gay pride parade in New York during his eight years as mayor. In 1992, during his first run for mayor, Giuliani took part in a homosexual pride parade that included a contingent of pedophile activists marching behind a banner for NAMBLA (North American Man/Boy Love Association).

Hillary Clinton's plan and don't forget that last name "Clinton" is to divide Republicans and we should be alert for splitting efforts right here on this website.
So I'm open to anyone but McCain right now and that includes Mr. Giuliani. Lets relax and listen to what these people are saying. Lets see if they have a good message or a bad one.
Rudy will be tough on crime and terror. That alone P.O.'s the liberals big time. The other issues are there and Rudy will have to find a way to keep them out of the picture and let Hillary get the Gay-Pro-Choice endorsements. Heck, those left-wing wackos already have her as their choice.....
Answer me this - Have I ever gone on a Hunter Thread and bashed Duncan Hunter? Or a Romney thread and Bashed him? I actually post positive posts on their threads. I am on the Duncan Hunter Ping list and am more than happy to go on Hunter posts and commend him for anything he does that I like - And I am not voting for him in the primary either but that doesn't matter to me. I'll do the same for Romney too. Why do you guys have to come on this thread and act so desperate and nasty. These posts are supposed to be discussions not nasty threads. EVERY SINGLE ONE turns out to be hate filled and nasty and not even an adult discussion. Don't you guys think that everyone who scans the internet and checks out these posts thinks that this conservative forum is not a good place to discuss issues and gets turned off? I would if I were them.
I'm no expert but what can a mayor do to stop federally enforced abortion laws? I totally disagree with Guiliani's stance on abortion (and am desperately hoping he flip flops on this issue)but I'm not sure what he could do to stop abortions in NY.
Guiliani is not responsible for the murder of unborn babies; their parents are.
Perhaps. But I can tell you that my liberal acquaintances don't like Hillary. In particular women I know don't like her. These are die-hard, life-long liberals. I know these people won't vote for her. In fact one of them is reading Ed Klein's book about Hillary, and now they all want to read it.
I would hope not. This is a CONSERVATIVE website with a long history of bashing LIBERALS. It wouldn't be appropriate to bash fine conservative Republicans like Representative Duncan Hunter. Bashing liberals like Giuliani is what we do here. I thought you figured it out by now. How long have you been here?
