Muslims 'about to take over Europe'
Jerusalem Post ^ | January 29, 2007 | DAVID MACHLIS AND TOVAH LAZAROFF

Islam could soon be the dominant force in a Europe which, in the name of political correctness, has abdicated the battle for cultural and religious control, Prof. Bernard Lewis, the world-renowned Middle Eastern and Islamic scholar, said on Sunday.

The Muslims "seem to be about to take over Europe," Lewis said at a special briefing with the editorial staff of The Jerusalem Post. Asked what this meant for the continent's Jews, he responded, "The outlook for the Jewish communities of Europe is dim." Soon, he warned, the only pertinent question regarding Europe's future would be, "Will it be an Islamized Europe or Europeanized Islam?" The growing sway of Islam in Europe was of particular concern given the rising support within the Islamic world for extremist and terrorist movements, said Lewis.

Lewis, whose numerous books include the recent What Went Wrong?: The Clash Between Islam and Modernity in the Middle East, and The Crisis of Islam: Holy War and Unholy Terror, would set no timetable for this drastic shift in Europe, instead focusing on the process, which he said would be assisted by "immigration and democracy." Instead of fighting the threat, he elaborated, Europeans had given up.

"Europeans are losing their own loyalties and their own self-confidence," he said. "They have no respect for their own culture." Europeans had "surrendered" on every issue with regard to Islam in a mood of "self-abasement," "political correctness" and "multi-culturalism," said Lewis, who was born in London to middle-class Jewish parents but has long lived in the United States.

The threat of extremist Islam goes far beyond Europe, Lewis stressed, turning to the potential impact of Iran going nuclear under its current regime.

Only problem I see with that map is that, though the Brits have bent over and offered their nether regions to Islamic 'intrusion'....Ireland will never bow to to the Muslims.

Abortion is the biggest horror in the history of mankind but I doubt migration worldwide would be any different right now if it never existed. There would only be even bigger economies attracting the mexicans, muslims, etc. My opinion is that abortion is thrown out there in the immigration debate to be cynically used as justification for radical policies.

There are a combination of forces at work.

Russia and much of Europe has low birth rates, small families, and high abortion rates. I am sure that there are exceptions and likely Russia is the worst with 'free' abortions on depand.

The other problem is the muzzie immigration and

third, the muzzie birth rates and larger family sizes.

The numbers look terrible in a few generations.

"I remember when I was in college and they were tearing down the Berlin wall my roommates were cheering. I smiled, but was less enthusiastic. When asked why, I said "We are looking at the reunification of a country which caused two World Wars"

Well, one part of me is about to argue with the other, as I am part German and part French (with Irish thrown in there, but I'm discussing the German and French for the moment). You know, the French tromped all over Europe for years in wars (remember Napolean?), and all over the German principalities, and down into Italy. And yet, when the Germans finally got around to their own wars, the French, who started many wars of their own, get a pass. I don't think so. In 1870 the Prussians finally had had it w/the constant French invasions of their territories and principalities and struck back. And as alliances always have shifted throughout history, do you really want Germany, w/Russia on her border and the problems w/the Muzzies in their own country, to still remain pacifistic in nature and not be responsible for their own defense? How about Japan, with a hostile China right next to them, and N. Korea lobbing missiles over them. Want them to remain pacifistic too? If they do, then in the future there is a reasonable chance that we would have to come to both Germany and Japan's aid if the going gets tough, unless they arm themselves to fight some of their own battles. Any country, including us, can rise up and fight if necessary. Better have the tools to do it if you are currently one of the good guys rather than the bad, which Germany and Japan currently are.

The only proble with that picture is that Russia is becomming Muslim. If current trednds hold, by 2050 most young adults will be Muslim. By 2025, 1/2 of the conscripts to the Russian millitary will be Muslim.

East of Russia is taken over by Chinese population at lighting speed. It's enough to go there as a tourist to see this. Contrary to western press coverage Muslim related problems are not a major headache for Russian leaders.
As far as ethnic Russians are concerned, they are too close culturally to Europe's native population to survive. At least in my judgment. The feeling of decadence, decay, helplessness, lack of interest in future is prevailing.

"they stated that 7% of EU babies were Muslim last year, and that if trends continued 10% of the populace would be Muslim by 2020. That's a sign that the EU may be majority Muslim in the far future, but it is hardly urgent"

When Christianity took over the Roman Empire and become recognized as the official religion, the Christians weren't even close to constitute majority. However they were well organized, and they were in big numbers in the Roman army at that time. That was enough to persuade the Cesar to convert to Christianity and [if I'm not mistaken] to declare his new faith the official religion of the empire. The truth is not always in numbers. Remember French farmers account for 2% of the French population, but they have enough power to force France and EU to subsidize them in a way that is ludicrous beyond any imagination.

What people seem to be forgetting is that many European countries have nuke weapons...such as France. Islam will soon have their coveted nukes.

Yes, a Europe once stood up to Islamic rulers. A Europe that believed in something. That shared a common Christian, Western identity.

All too many have turned with disgust towards those two defining identities, and now hale the gods of diversity and multiculturalism.

And do you think diversity and multiculturalism can unite a people and give them a cause like Christianity and Western Civilization did?

We know the answer to that question all too well...

I have hope. Just not nearly as strong as I'd like it to be.

Got bad news for you Ben, our's (the U.S.) is no better. We're currently at 2% to 3& Muslim and growing fast. Once we hit the 10% marker as currently in France, Germany, Netherlands, etc, we will be in the same sad shape as them. Our only hope is that enough Americans wake up in time to force immigration change via the ballot box. However, I am dubious that we will indeed wake up. It's the boiling frog syndrome at work here I am afraid....

Do not be suprise if the USA, Canada, Austraia, New Zealand, ete., will end up seeing a mass movement of people from Europe, non-Muslims who want nothing to do with this change over in their homelands.

As I have posted before, the USA is going to see a lot of Europeans who are not Muslim coming over to the USA escape that horror.

...by 2015 a MAJORITY of the Russian military will be -Muslim.

This fact, as well as the growing Muslim presence in France's military, is one of the major factors behind the recent urgency concerning Missile Defense in places like Poland.

For all of Iran's scimitar-rattling, they don't *need* nuclear weapons. If they're just a bit more patient, they'll get their hands on the world's largest nuclear arsenal - complete with targeting data. Nice, huh?

Don't look now, but our ol' buddy George Bush and his administration dramatically increased the number of visas for Muslim foreign exchange students (particularly Saudis).
