I am so sorry for the lack of response.

Can I say something without being flamed?

I think the leftist orgs are simply better at this kind of thing than we are.

They have worked at this for decades, I think we are just learning. I wish I had some ideas for you, I'm a thousand mile away, love what you're doing, but damn......you've got to be better than this than the leftists because they control how it will be reported. Even if you have as many people or are ten times more rational it will be reported in a way that will not help you.

Honest question....what can we do?

Good question, but the beginning of the answer is very simple: GET OFF OUR BUTTS.

No flaming here because you are correct.

We need to some how get conservatives off their back sides. Sure family and work is important, but the ideals of America are more important.

Better and wider dissemination of info through by blogs would help. The libs are now plotting to take away our voice by limiting blogs and talk radio.

We can't keep doing things as volunteers. We need some deep pocket conservatives to counter Soros, Kennedy, etc. money at these events. A paid organizer goes with some funding.

Kristinn is stretched thin with all he does for FR. He puts out news bulletins, writes threads on FReeps and Rallies etc.

[Mrs] T's and my pockets are too shallow to even try to better organize our rallies and we are not experienced enough.

We know the MSM won't air our activities, though I'm surprised how much they did do this time. Kristinn even got some air time.

I know up here in the liberal NE, getting the word out, organizing, anything not ant war leftists, is next to impossible. Word of mouth for our side is slow, heck we don't even get party affiliation on the ballot most of the time. Most folks up here do not mention their conservatism at work, if they need a paycheck. Even some of the churches up here are leftist. Doesn't make organizing things anywhere near as easy as it would be for leftists and their organizations.

Also, I know a lot of people who were there not long ago for the March for Life rally, and people here are not rich, so that they can just go back down again. I understand the need to light a fire under us, but many of us just can't be there.

Dittos to what Lakeshark said and I thank you so much for the DC FReepers - but I have to echo what Lakeshark said if only to point out that apparently these morons that held this anti-war rally had been planning it for a LONG time. On the other hand, word of this rally - at least from my end of it - only reached a week ago...and the best that *I* could do from my standpoint, Homeschooling Mom that I am, was post about it on my blog - which unfortunately does not get much traffic. I think, if anything, the networking amongst the conservatives needs to be stronger if they want to have a solid response against this kind of rally again. Believe me, they contacted Jane Fonda about this a LONG TIME ago and set everything up, whereas we are constantly on the reactionary. Its difficult for people like me who have to depend on one paycheck by my husband to fund little emergencies here. Its hard to justify why I would want to spend 1000.00 on a spontaneous rally when I could use that 1000.00 for a family vacation.

I'm truly sorry there was such a poor turnout to be there to support those absolutely LOVELY and BEAUTIFUL service men and women who stood up against the antiwar protesters. Im honestly left with nothing to give in return but a heartfelt THANK YOU. But Ive been in FR long enough to know that too many of us dont have the luxury a lot of these leftists do (and not to mentione one or two moles who undermine the sincerely enthusiastic).

My best regards....
