Thanks. Well. That clears it up....

I thought this was more like a Boxers Brief...

Re-up and Bolo were both old terms in the late 60's. Not sure how far back they go.

Yeah, you and my Dad...he was a career armor officer. He still talks with reverence about the M48, his favorite of all he trained and served on. He was a "greasy coveralls" tanker, even as an officer. He still talks about when he was XO of 2-69 Armor at Benninng, he enjoyed crawling under the 60s on command maintenance day, getting dirty along with the men. He would read through the latest copy of PS Magazine (with Connie and Bonnie), see what checks they had that week for the 60, then go out in the motorpool and look for those items himself. He really misses being a tanker.

i went to anaconda three times in 2005, on escort. the place was a paradise, safe, with pools, movie theatres, pizzaras. the most memorable moment i had in iraq was eating pistacio ice cream from a ceramic bowl with a metal spoon. people in the defac asked me “why do you have a gun?” [my M-14] i do not know if they were curious or indignant. on our fob we got melted ice cream, and shrimp, when someone was kia. i have never seen so many pogues in my life, and grew to loath them more with all their bitch giggling and whining about mortarvilla. i can only imagine how much shit they talk when they get home.
