Whithin a generation, homosexuality is abnormal. But, statistically, over time, over a number of generations, a certain percentage of population can be identified as homosexual. Thus, the short view of history sees homosexuals as distasteful anomalies, but the longer view of history sees homosexuals as a predictable segment of any era's population. Historically, to have a generation without homosexuals would be abnormal.

Most would call it 'entertainment'.
This is a sacred cow for the Giuliani pushers as well. Just look at how they get so upset about it...
Ultimately the gay and lesbian community must experience a backlash. They are over the top.

This is a PC frankenword cobbled together from the Greek `phobos' (fear) and the slang `homo' for `homosexual'
But since Greek `homos' actually means `the same', combining it with `phobos' equals a term which correctly parsed comes out as:
"Homophobia: an irrational fear of those who share the same qualities as oneself."
As for me, I'm not afraid of other conservative, heterosexual, gun owning FReeper veterans.
It's not the homosexuals (at least, not exclusively) who have brought this on, but the tolerance and liberality of the Canadian people which has gone 'over the top'. The 'alternate lifestyle' crowd are STILL going to stand behind this -- they would rather see the Bible rewritten (which it has been, with all these modern translations, so why not one more that takes out the outdated stuff, like the stoning to death of women, and the abomination of sodomy, they say) than allow that homosexuality is an abnormality. They suffer from a failure to distinguish, and the schools teach this like a creed.
If you could make everyone take a lie-detector test, I'm willing to bet a large amount of money that few people actually think homosexual behavior is normal. If people could actually pick the sexual preference of their children, does anyone honestly believe that except for only a very tiny percentage of truly demented heterosexuals, people would choose homosexuality for their children? The great majority of Americans have been forced to shut up about how they feel about homosexuality. It, homosexuality, is not normal and not natural. Homosexuals aren't evil, but they are at the very least abnormal.
I don't believe in homosexuals. I believe in humans, who sin.

seems the proper way to frame this argument is to state they have TAKEN A RIGHT away.

"I despise the Govt.for attempting to shove their version of what we should and should not think."
Exactly, what people do with their privates is none of their business unless they are violating the rights of another. No matter how sick and disguesting it is.
I say government just needs to get out of the whole marriage business altogether, that's what we have churches for.
