May be just one force planning not to attack pilgrams in general, but aiming to assasinate Sistani and other high level clerics and put their leader in charge. There you go; I totally agree.
Few months ago, I posted the same opinion (Sadr wants to kill Sistani) and WOW......the flak I got for it! LOL
This would not be Sadr though. Although we don't know who all was involved yet. The fact that there are Sudanese prisoners captured would lead me to think it is a combined action of al-Qaeda and this splinter Shiite group. But right now, we simply don't know.
