He's a Bush - who are we kidding here? He'll end up a disappointment, just like the first two. The Bush family may be conservative in how they carry themselves, but their politics are strictly moderate in nature.

Yes, I agree. Also, no one with this name will be elected at least in the next two cycles. It's a waste of time to talk about Jeb -- for both reasons.

When Clinton came in he fired all he could...espically any DOJ lawyers who might have worked on the White Water real estate stuff.

Bush 43 apparently left most of Bubba's people in place to continue to make us "progressive ! "

We really see it in their land use policies...closing public lands to the public, etc.

Nah; too old, too ill, too disliked by too many.

I like Sam Brownback, Duncan Hunter, Mike Huckabee and if it looks like Hillary is going to get the Dem nomination, I like Condi Rice because I think she is the only Pubbie who can defeat the Hildebeast.

ABC News' David Chalian Reports: While traveling in Iraq, Republican presidential hopeful Sen. Sam Brownback (R-KS) broke from his leading competitors for the GOP nomination and issued a written statement in opposition to President Bush's plan to add more American troops in and around Baghdad.

"I do not believe that sending more troops to Iraq is the answer," said Brownback.

The last election with neither a Bush nor a Clinton on the ballot was in 1976.

That's pretty mind-boggling. The Kennedys, the Tafts, the Adamses don't know from "dynasty,"

What about DICK CHENEY for President in 2008?

Cheney has been the fixer for the Bush 43 (and, arguably, 41) administration. He has not built constituencies or groomed his public image, but rather had accepted his role as the tough guy who can let the president be the nice guy. He says he's not running, but actions speak louder than words, and Cheney has done none of the things a potential candidate would do.

His health questions are an important issue. Viewing a candidate's health as an issue used to be controversial, but then Paul Tsongas had a cancer relapse and died, after a long incapacity, before the end of what would have been his first term. I think that put the health issue on the table.

The worst argument against Cheney is he conventional (and dead wrong) wisdom that sitting VPs rarely get elected president. Of the last three sitting VPs who ran, one won the election in a landslide (GHW Bush in 1988); another won the popular vote (Gore in 2000); and another lost the closest election up to that time (Nixon in 1960). As far as I can tell, the last sitting VP to run before that was Martin van Buren in 1832, and he won.

"No, not 2008...never.. NO MORE BUSHES."

My sentiments precisely. You know when we will see another Bush as President? When we are Atzlan, and Jeb Bush's half Mexican son is elected. Thanks Jorge.

WHOA! That's a racist statement if I ever heard one. Jeb Bush's wife is Hispanic but she is NOT a Mexican. It could be worse; he could have married a white-trash Redneck.

"WHOA! That's a racist statement if I ever heard one. Jeb Bush's wife is Hispanic but she is NOT a Mexican."

Do not speak from ignorance. And since when is saying someone is half-Mexican is racist. How about Barak Obama, saying he is half-white is racist? Or only if you say he is half-black. Geez..... See below:

"When Bush was seventeen, he went to León, Mexico, as part of his school's student exchange program. He spent his time there teaching English. While attending a motorcycle race, he met a local girl named Columba Garnica Gallo, whom he eventually married. Bush converted to his wife's religion, Catholicism.
