Not any more.

I just checked three auctions with bids on them and the bidders I.D. shows.

The notice I received from eBay said, they were only going to conceal the identities of bidders on big ticket items like autos, etc.

Just a guess but they may be refering to auctions in the UK. I know some countries won't let you view the buyer's history.
