I really like Hunter too. He's excellent. But in terms of national coverage Huckabee really seems to know how to handle himself and probably has the best ability to beat McGiulimney.

Actually, let me revise that. Hunter would be great too. We conservatives have two good choices. I see Huckabee as possibly more winable, harder for the MSM to distort but Hunter is articulate and straight speaking and that may work well for him. Hunter is better on National Security and on this important issue Huckabee may look inexperienced.

Either would be far better than anyone else in the field. Conservatives need to decide quickly before the media's candidates take up all the press and go forward with one.
Hunter or Huckabee - both have what to offer.
Bye, Bye Brownback.

Here is the money quote from Huckabee's announcement.

"My brand of conservatism is not an angry hostile brand. It's one that says 'conservative' means we want to conserve the best of our culture, society, principles and values and pass them on," he said last month.

I sorry but that statement pretty much alienates me from this guy. Conservatism is not angry and hostile. LIBERALISM is angry and hostile. It holds people and institutions in contempt and demands the right of a self selected elite to micromanage all us peasant's lives for us.

NOTE to all Reagan wannabees. Ronald Reagan NEVER apologized for being a Conservative.
