Would you ever have expected to read this in an Anzac speech?

But the arrogance and incompetence of the war planners made this strategy fail. They overestimated their own technological and cultural superiority and underestimated the ability and willingness to fight of their Muslim enemy.

The Turks at Gallipoli were led by the founder of modern Turkey. One of the first things he did was to outlaw Muslim dress etc and he was the founder of a secularist state. Muslims can gain no satisfaction over what happened at Gallipoli. In fact the Turks were considered an honourable enemy and in recent years the RSL has even approved their marching at Anzac parades.
