Gore is boring and a sore loser. I can't believe they would run him again.

If you're a liberal, history began this morning. And you can rewrite it however it suits you.

It's conceivable that the Democrats could convince themselves to back Franklin Delano Roosevelt for a fifth term.

Nixon's stars/planets are lining up for Gore:

Nixon: Twice VP, defeated for the presidency, sat out two terms then was elected President.

Gore: Twice VP, defeated for the presidency, sat out two terms....

Al Gore's nomination as the Democrat candidate for President would be God's gift to Republicans.

Let's consider: who could he beat?

Mitt Romney? Nope
John McCain? Probably not
Rudy Guiliani? He's a nightmare candidate for the Republican conservative wing and would probably lose 20% of the Republican base in the general election. But he might pick up that many from the independent and Democrat side.
I can't see him losing either.

So, can anyone tell me how he could win? Only if the Iraq war goes from the current success to a disaster. What is more likely is we make headway against Iranian influence and knock them out by 2008.

Oddly enough, when looking at DU polls the other day he beat out everyone .. Hillary and Obama.

I was shocked.

Don't count him out. Hillary is all over the place; Al has been consistent in his views, and he didn't have to vote on the Iraq war. He could be well positioned to make a Nixonian "Comeback".

Al Gore is boring you are right. I don't know why he doesn't just continue with what he does best and that is global warming. This seems to be his nitch and people are eating it up even Republicans. I find it nonsense but if it keeps him out of the White House I am all for him wasting his time on this.
