Thankfully, most americans won't decide on your singing voice.

She ought to start a group with Yoko Ono.

It should cost her the election. She said "our star spangled banner" It should be "THAT star spangled banner". What a POS. Can't even get that right.

Would rather not!

That sounded (Hillary's anthem) like it was in B flat which should be a key most people could easily sing along with...
btw I am one of the few who still sings along when they
perform the national anthem at ballgames, etc.

Interesting that no one else picked-up on her wrong lyrics. Most people obviously don't know them either.

In 95% of the pictures of Hillary, she's got her pie hole wide open.

Still no one has picked up on her screwed up lyrics. What is wrong with the "Freepers" in this country? Everyone is more concerned with Yoko Ono. Good GOD!

It feels weird to say this, but don't get on Hillary's case about this. Lots of us, myself included, have trouble singing it well. Many others just don't try to join in with the alleged pros. Still it remains a stirring tune, with truth soaked words, far more deserving of national anthem status than its PC competition. It used to be at least enthusiastically attempted by most; that was and still should be the American way. We must give her credit for, at least, knowing politically that she's on the winning side in trying to sing this (even though we suspect she'd prefer the Internationale.) The open mic may well have been staged to attract knee-jerk criticism. There is plenty to criticize amongst her words and deeds. Criticizing her for attempting to do the correct thing can only backfire against the critics.

Don't critize her for not knowing the words to the "Star Spangled Banner"? What are you? I can't believe this. You are not only a sheep, you shouldn't be able to post. But, who am I to decide. Take Hillary and yourself elsewhere-

As a conservative, i vote for someone who most closely respresents my opinions. This go around, Hunter is who I like at this juncture.

People long for a reagan style leader, and hunter is just the guy for the ticket.

Don't critize her for not knowing the words to the "Star Spangled Banner"?

I meant we shouldn't criticize her for her poor singing voice. Criticizing her for muffing the lyrics is legit, but risks being deemed petty if the one word mistake I've seen cited in this case was her only one.

As for your criticism of me, it is further out of line and takes me out of context. First, I prefaced my comments on this with "It feels weird to say this." I'm no fan of Hillary's as anyone who's read my many posts here over the years (since 1999!) will know. Check out my previously posted rendition of her:

And I'm certainly not an enemy of the National Anthem! In fact I've more than once posted Key's earlier verses to this tune, words that deserve to still be remembered. I've been a BIG fan of the Anthem since as a kid in Boy Scouts, 35+ years ago (when I could still hit the high notes,) I, on my own, developed a speech on the story of it for parent's night at camp. The importance of singing the anthem is not to get all note right, or even all the words right. The importance is to believe in the spirit of the song and what it means. Likewise with the flag. If I see someone emphatically waving a home made sign with a hand drawn flag I would not criticize if they got the length to width ratio wrong or made the field of blue too big. Rather I would celebrate having them on my side.

Many here, myself certainly included, think Hillary's political positions make any shows of patriotism by her feigned and hypocritical. I merely give her token credit for realizing, unlike some of her deluded followers, that an honest expression of what I (and they) think she believes would be political suicide. She knows she has to con us - again - to win. I fear she might and don't want her to gain false sympathy over fake victimhood. Instead attack her her politics head on and don't let her use things like this to divert voters from her big picture problems.

Why did she wait until she knew she was on camera to sing.
The bad singing voice doesn't bother me. A former First Lady not knowing the words of the Star Spangled Banner does.
