I was being ornery. Offended some too. Didn't mean to do that. I am real sorry too.

When you look at this from a perspective of what the Church is for and what happened, it is quite the chameleon too.

No one has an absolute right to "not be offended". That is a lib viewpoint. Don't apologize for being you.

As far as the church goes in this matter, I think these caring souls did just what loving people should do when caring for someone. They were most concerned about his comfort and dying wishes, as it should be.

And anyone here who thinks they have the answers as to how this young man should go about dying are far too nosy and judgmental for me.
