I've had this conversation with another Alpha-Male friend of mine and our women, we broke it down this way.

If women would like to understand us better, this is how we operate. Sex is only third because you have to have food to stay alive, money for shelter and a bed, sex, you need 1 and 2 first, sleep-after sex, often immediately.
Speak for yourself. Most men I know are interested in being something more noble than the collection of their basest biological impulses.
My own wife was the first person who proposed a theory about "food, sex and sleep" (she left out money) and that was in 1977, a year before we got married. This was just a normal part of our conversation, this theorizing. As far as I'm concerned , my wife invented that equation. Yay, Susan!
