He could help by making a one time donation out of his personal fortune to all those who work for minimum wage. (Along with the rest of his liberal wealthy cronies who claim they are so worried about the *poor*)

Make it a gift to avoid the taxes and viola' problem solved. The people will have more expendable income that isn't going to be taxed than anything they would have gotten with that raise, companies won't have to cut back on the number of employees to stay in business, and they wouldn't have to raise prices to be able to afford to pay the new wage, thus eating up any benefit of the raise.

Instead, he wants to look like the hero by forcing everyone else to do it.

For his information, there are many places we know that are already paying more than minimum wage.

Good point. Most of the people working for minimum wage are HS students. I remember working for minimum wage in High School. I drove to my job at Burger King in a European luxury sedan that my boss couldn't afford.

Real fulltime jobs with responsibility, that require any semblance of skill or experience (you don't have to be an Ivy League grad to be valuable) pay 5X minimum wage. But heck, that's Socialism for you. Just slack off and the left wing Gubmint will take care of you regardless:
