How are the kids supposed to accept responsibility when their parents are still brainwashing them with racism?

I don't get it. Your kid beats someone up, but the KID is a victim of racism? It doesn't make sense. Make them take responsibility for what they have done.

exactly.....

a crime is a crime is a crime

most assaults take place because someone was "stupid" but since "stupid" is not a special class of person (maybe it should be?) it's not classified as a hate crime.

I saw some vicious assaults as a cop by blacks on whites complete with "racial overtones" but I never saw that charged as a hate crime. They should be honest about these special class of crimes....

they are for whites on colored or hetero on gay crime.

I am against special crimes based on ethnicity or sexual preference. If they want to enhance the penalty for particularly disturbing incidents I have no issue with that but they should do it across the board. A person murdered or assaulted is deprived of their rights no matter what the motive.

To follow my previous comments....

Some of the worst thugs I ever saw as a cop had parents who believed their child had done no wrong, or he was oppressed by society, or whatever excuse you want to make up.

While not universally true, there is usually a sorry parent(s) behind a sorry excuse for a human.
