As an American but also as a Muslim I would like to convey my most sincere apologies although I know to most this are just empty words in light of the death and injury of so many.
If you didn't participate, there's no need to apologize for those who did. I'd rather Muslims who disagree with the radicals in their midst simply denounce them and state openly that the radicals don't represent them - open, vocal opposition by the majority of Muslims toward the jihadis would be the best way to defeat them.

Unfortunately, AdamSmithWasRight seems to be a member of a very small group indeed. I would also love to have a transcript of the remarks made in his mosque.
