Don't know if anybody watched this last night, but Alexandra Pelosi's documentary attempted to cast evangelical Christians in a very negative light. I watched most of it and thought it backfired on her.

It's easy through the power of editing to make people look bad, or at the very least worse than they are. The trick is to not make it easier for people to make you look bad. Everything Pelosi edited together was real - if she found some kooks and recorded them, that's just a bitter pill for those sympathetic to swallow.

The question is just how representative are these fringy types of the overall Evangelical movement? The answer is probably not much, but that's not to say that the movement doesn't have its share of embarrassing cousins.

What she should do is make a documentary about being the daughter of a power hungry shrew who worships abortion and self-righteously bleats about 'supporting the troops' while spending every waking moment looking for ways to sabotage their mission and put them in even greater danger than they are now.

Nancy Pelosi's daughter is a coward. If she really wants to make a statment on a religion, she could make fun of a religion that would kill over a cartoon of Mohammed.
