I think most people are tired of the "Oh, woe is me" tale from LA.

Haley Barbour struck me as a class act after Katrina - no crying, no whining, no "oh woe is us," no finger-pointing; he set an example of courage and hard work for the people of Mississippi.

"I think most people are tired of the "Oh, woe is me" tale from LA."

No joke! I hate to admit this, but for the first time in my ENTIRE LIFE...I did not support the Saints in the playoffs!!

Barbour has been a class act...too bad LA is being run by a bunch of corrupt clowns!

Your link is dead, but if Powell made that comment thats pretty interesting.

There was a time years ago that I would have voted for Powell for POTUS in a heartbeat. But he's turned out to be so liberal these days that I'm surprised everytime he takes a swing at a bone head lib or says something conservative.

I've always wished he would run for president. Barbour has impressed me since his days as head of the RNC.

He did say he wasn't going to run.

I think he should be drafted!

I agree, he is no Brad Pitt impersonator, but his common sense, strength of character, ability to get the job done, these are all important factors, too!

As to his weight, perhaps he could benefit from a little Parris Island PT time, or maybe that bariatric surgery like J.D. Hayworth from Arizona.
